Back-to-back goals from Filip Forsberg and Mattias Ekholm helped the Nashville Predators rally from down late in the second period and hold off the Seattle Kraken, 4-2 on Tuesday before a sellout crowd at Climate Pledge Arena.
The Kraken, finishing the six-game homestand at 3-3, got a first period two-man advantage goal from Jared McCann and the third goal of the season from Adam Larsson in the second period. Philipp Grubauer, falling short in the quest for his fourth straight win, made 23 saves.
Counterpart Juuse Saros, heading to the NHL All-Star Game, made 33 saves and was first star of the game.
McCann and Luke Kunin of Nashville traded first period goals before Larsson finished glove side on Saros at 12:21 for a 2-1 lead, before Nashville took the lead late in the second period with two goals in a span of 1:16.
Matt Duchene, on the back end of a power play from a too many men on the ice penalty, put the Predators up 4-2 with 4:09 left in regulation.
The Kraken wil head to Pittsburgh on Thursday at 4pm PT to start a four-game road trip before the All-Star break.
