Seahawks adding veteran guard Chance Warmack

Tennessee Titans v Houston Texans

The Seattle Seahawks are signing former Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Chance Warmack, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.

Warmack was the tenth overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Titans out of the University of Alabama. Warmack started 48 games over four seasons for the Titans before a hand injury ended his final season with the team after only two games in 2016. Warmack would sign with the Eagles in 2017 and spend the next two seasons mainly as a backup, including on their Super Bowl winning team in 2017. He would appear in 20 games for the team with just three starts over the span.

Warmack becomes the fourth free agent signing along the offensive line so far for the Seahawks this offseason. He joins former Pittsburgh Steelers guard/center B.J. Finney, former New York Jets tackle Brandon Shell and former Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Cedric Ogbuehi.

Warmack was teammates at Alabama with current Seahawks right guard D.J. Fluker. He's also the seventh player drafted in the top 15 of the 2013 NFL Draft to play for the Seahawks. Luke Joeckel (No. 2 overall), Dion Jordan (No. 3), Ziggy Ansah (No. 5), Barkevious Mingo (No. 6), Warmack, Fluker (No. 11) and Sheldon Richardson (No. 13) round out the group.

Warmack did not play in the NFL in 2019.
