It will take the Seattle Sounders beating LAFC for the first time ever to advance to the franchise's third MLS Cup appearance.
The Sounders meet LAFC tonight at 7:00 p.m. PT from Banc of California Stadium for the MLS Western Conference Final. Seattle is 0-1-and-1 this season and 0-3-and-1 all-time against the Black & Gold. This is the first match in 2019 the squad will be near full strength. The last time these teams met, they played to a 1-1 draw at CenturyLink Field on April 28th.
LAFC enjoyed a dominant 2019, notching the most points in the league at 72. The Sounders were a distant second-place in the Western Conference with 56 total points.
Seattle took out FC Dallas with a 4-3 victory in extra time to advance past Round One of the Audi 2019 MLS Playoffs. In the Semifinals, the Sounders cruised to a 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake. Meanwhile, LAFC enjoyed a Round One bye and beat its rival, the LA Galaxy 5-3 to advance to the Conference Final.
