Frank Clark active for Seahawks despite missed practices due to illness

Indianapolis Colts v Seattle Seahawks

SEATTLE -- Defensive end Frank Clark is active after missing the entire week of practice while dealing with a stomach illness.

Clark leads the team in sacks with 3.0 through four weeks of action. He declared on his Twitter account on Friday that he would be playing despite a case of food poisoning that had beaten him down throughout the week.

Defensive end Rasheem Green (ankle) and linebacker K.J. Wright (knee) were ruled out due to injuries on Friday. Guard Ethan Pocic is also inactive as he works back from an ankle sprain. Head coach Pete Carroll had said Pocic would be able to play on Friday, but they have apparently elected to hold him back another week.

J.R. Sweezy was going to start at left guard regardless.

C.J. Prosise is inactive with Chris Carson back in the lineup and Mike Davis coming off a 100-yard showing last week. New safety addition T.J. Green, wide receiver Keenan Reynolds and defensive tackle Nazair Jones are also inactive for Seattle.

The Rams bring only 52 players into Seattle's game on Sunday and therefore require only six inactive players. Kicker Greg Zuerlein is the most prominent absence as he has been out with a groin injury. Cairo Santos is kicking in his place.

Also inactive for the Rams are receiver JoJo Natson, running back John Kelly, linebacker Trevon Young, defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day and defensive tackle Tanzel Smart.
