The Seattle Seahawks have reached an agreement on a two-year deal with former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman B.J. Finney, sources confirmed to KJR on Tuesday night.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the deal is worth $8 million.
Finney was a versatile backup for the Steelers that will get a chance to compete for a starting job in Seattle, per source. Finney has appeared in 59 career games for Pittsburgh with 13 starts. He's played both guard positions and at center for the Steelers.
With Mike Iupati a free agent, the Seahawks have an opening at left guard that Jamarco Jones, Phil Haynes and Jordan Simmons could all be in the running for as well. Justin Britt could theoretically be a salary cap cut as he's coming off a season ended by a torn ACL and is set to cost $11.4 million against the cap this season. The team could save $8.5 million by releasing Britt at some point before the start of the regular season. D.J. Fluker is also under contract for this season at a cost of nearly $4.2 million. He's played the last two seasons at right guard for Seattle.
Finney couldn't find his way into a starting role in Pittsburgh as he was stuck behind two Pro Bowlers and a solid veteran starter in Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro and Ramon Foster. Finney started three games at center last season for the Steelers with two of those starts coming following Pouncey's suspension coming from the on-field melee with Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns.

-- Defensive end Quinton Jefferson has reached an agreement on a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Outside of a short stay with the Los Angeles Rams, Jefferson has spent all four of his seasons in the NFL with Seattle. He's appeared in 39 career games with 24 starts for the team, which all have come over the last two seasons. Jefferson has 51 tackles and 6.5 sacks over his last two years as a regular contributor.
-- The Seahawks gave exclusive rights free agent contracts to wide receiver Malik Turner, guard Jordan Roos, defensive tackle Bryan Mone and safety Ryan Neal.
Exclusive rights free agents are players that have less than three years of accrued service time and are out of contract. They cannot negotiate with other teams unless their current teams waives their rights to the player. All four deals will be minimum contracts.
