New Washington State head football coach Nick Rolovich is already taking the Apple Cup rivalry game with Washington seriously.
Rolovich in his introductory press conference revealed his personal countdown to the annual contest between the Cougars and Huskies.
The former Hawaii coach is trying to improve where his predecessor, Mike Leach, fell short. Leach before leaving this month to take over head coaching duties at Mississippi State was just 1-and-7 in the Apple Cup.
Both Wazzou and Washington will introduce brand new head coaches when the rivalry is renewed 317 days from now. Spokane native Jimmy Lake takes over for Chris Peterson in 2020.
