Will UW's Taylor Rapp be 1st graduate of Sehome High School to be drafted?

No graduate of Sehome High School has ever played in the NFL, but that is likely to change when University of Washington safety Taylor Rapp is drafted. However, he won't be the first in Whatcom County to be drafted by an NFL team. We've already seen Bellingham's Steve Alvord (1987), Nooksack Valley's Tom Ackerman (1996) and Ferndale's Jack Locker (2011) make it to the professional league.

According to most mock online drafts, it's looking like Rapp will be selected somewhere in the bottom third of the first round to the end of the second round. According to various media reports, he has made a pre-draft visit with the Seattle Seahawks.

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has him listed as the 39th-best prospect overall and the 3rd best safety, just behind Mississippi State's Johnathan Abram (23) and Delaware's Nasir Adderley (34).

BleacherReport.com has him going to the Seattle Seahawks in the 1st round. “Earl Thomas leaves and Taylor Rapp arrives. Seahawks fans should be good with this one. Rapp is a versatile defender in the mold of Minkah Fitzpatrick or a bigger Tyrann Mathieu.”
