Ricky Manning Jr. will not return to the Seahawks coaching staff next season, per a source.

Manning has spent the last two seasons as an assistant defensive backs coach after three seasons as a college assistant at Fresno City College and Fresno State.

Manning is the eighth assistant coach from the 2017 coaching staff not expected back with the team next fall.

The Seahawks confirmed the departures of offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, assistant head coach/offensive line Tom Cable, defensive coordinator Kris Richard, assistant head coach/linebackers Michael Barrow and senior defensive assistant Travis Jones.

Assistant defensive line coach Dwaine Board and assistant special teams coach Heath Farwell have also been reported to be moving on. Farwell took a job as an assistant special teams coach with the Carolina Panthers.

Brian Schottenheimer (offensive coordinator), Mike Solari (offensive line) and Ken Norton Jr. (defensive coordinator) have been announced as replacements for Bevell, Cable and Richard. Jethro Franklin is reportedly joining the staff as an assistant defensive line coach.

Additionally, Dave Canales is expected to move from wide receivers coach to quarterbacks coach as Carl Smith is expected to remain on staff in a different capacity after coaching quarterbacks the past seven seasons.

Manning spent parts of seven seasons in the NFL after being a third round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2003 out of UCLA. He also played for the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders.
