News broke on Friday morning that Marshawn Lynch may soon be returning to the NFL with the Oakland Raiders. He is still on the Seahawks if he unretires, however, and would count 9 million dollars against the salary cap immediately. The Seahawks would thus have to release or trade Lynch in order for him to be able to play for the Raiders. Ian Rapoport had more on the situation plus what the Raiders could trade the Seahawks in return for the 31-year-old running back.

Marshawn Lynch is in shape. He's thought about playing. Raiders are interested. But would the #Seahawks actually trade him? We'll see.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 17, 2017
2 issues for #Raiders on Marshawn: 1. They don’t want to give up picks. Maybe a cond. 7th. Maybe. 2. They are saving money for Carr/Mack— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 17, 2017
We also are now learning that Marshawn Lynch nearly became a Raider for the 2016 season...
