Not the message fans want to hear

Even though it's probably a reality, it's safe to assume that most Washington State fans are not going to like what AD Bill Moos had to say about the expectations of his football team this year.

But, when you start looking at the overall talent on this football team and you look at the schedule, it's really hard to get five wins.

The Cougs open up with back-to-back games on the road at Auburn and at USC.  I'm fairly optimistic, but i don't see a way they win one of those games.

The only other wins I see this year on paper are:  Southern Utah, Idaho, Oregon State, Arizona State, and Utah.  All those games are at home, AND I could make a call that they could lose all of their conference games at home. One of their "home" games is against Stanford, however, it's in Seattle at Century Link.

Their schedule on the road is brutal: Cal (never play well there), Oregon, Arizona and Washington.

The one compliant that many fans will have is that when Moos made the hire of Mike Leach, his selling point to the fans was not about year three, it was about winning right away with the talent they had. Now, one season in, the narrative has changed.
