Woolridge did his damage on 7-of-10 from the field for WSU (5-4), which has won three of four. Que Johnson pitched in 14 points, while Jordan Railey added 10 points for the home team.
For Pepperdine (6-5), Jeremy Major scored 17 points and Stacy Davis chipped in 12 points and six rebounds.
WSU opened up a comfortable 41-26 lead at the half by shooting 18-of-33 from the field (.545) in the first 20 minutes. Pepperdine lagged behind by shooting only 10-of-27 (.370).
The Cougars' field goal shooting prowess continued after intermission (.522), and while their lead dwindled to just seven with under seven minutes to play, they promptly ended the Waves' threat by ripping off a 12-2 run.
WSU's victory could have been even larger considering it shot a dreadful 13- of-30 from the free-throw line.
