Needing some positive Husky mojo following Saturday night’s debacle against USC, the men’s basketball team took to the hardwood at Hec Ed to salvage the weekend against Yale, a team that upset Baylor as a 12 seed in last year’s NCAA tourney. Unfortunately, they didn't get it...

Crisp, Fultz, Thybulle, Dime, Timmins

The first bucket of the season was a contested Markelle Fultz jumper in the paint with a high degree of difficulty. He ended the night with 30 points on 11/17 with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Yale was able to score in every possible way. Mid-range jumpers, basket-cuts, turnarounds, from downtown. They took a 20 point lead at 5:49 in the first half

Matisse Thybulle was a tidy 3 for 3 with 5 of 6 from the charity stripe for 13 in the first half. The true sophomore from Eastside Catholic HS finished with 20 points on 6/7 shooting from the field to go with 6 blocks and 4 rebounds. Lorenzo Romar said this was Thybulle's best game as a Husky.

Yale had 3 players in double figures by halftime. The finished with 5.

Glaring stats at the half: Points off turnovers- Yale 9 UW 0, Assist to turnovers- Yale 12 to 1, UW 4 to 8.

The Dawgs outblocked the Bulldogs 15 to 0, but were outrebounded 42 to 29.

The Huskies are back at in on Thursday night in Hec Ed vs. Cal State Fullerton.
