"We are excited to add Maxwell to our team. He is a competitive quality center that helps us in both ends of the rink. We really wanted to add to our team at center ice and this is a great addition heading into the playoffs," said Farwell.
Maxwell has 27 points on 10 goals and 17 assists in 42 games for the Hurricanes this season. Last season with the Hurricanes Maxwell appeared in 66 games and had 22 goals and 33 assists for 55 points. He is a 19-year-old and is in his fourth season in the WHL. In 249 career games with the Hurricanes Maxwell has 137 points on 56 goals and 81 assists with 254 penalty minutes.
Swenson, a 20-year-old, has played in 43 games for the T-Birds this season and has eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points with 26 penalty minutes. This is Swenson's fifth WHL season and he has 41 goals and 63 assists for 104 points in 281 career games with the T-Birds and Portland Winterhawks. Swenson was originally acquired from the Winterhawks on June 10, 2012, for left wing Marcel Noebels and first round Bantam picks in 2012 and 2013.
Holub, a 17-year-old, has appeared in 16 games for the T-Birds this season and has one goal and two assists for three points. In 66 games with the T-Birds over two seasons Holub has three goals and five assists for eight points with 37 penalty minutes.
