RENTON - Head coach Pete Carroll expected CB Brandon Browner to practice with the team on Thursday after missing the season opener against the Carolina Panthers with a hamstring strain.

However, Browner was unable to practice Thursday and his status for Sunday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers seems to be in question.

Carroll had been optimistic that Browner would be able to make it back in time for the game, but if he's unable to practice this week it seems unlikely he'd be able to play.

On the bright side, DE Chris Clemons was a full participant in practice for the first time since his knee injury in January. As he still has just one full practice under his belt, it seems a longshot that he'd be in game shape by Sunday night. However, Clemons continues to make positive strides forward.
