RENTON - Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said WR Percy Harvin had a follow-up MRI on his injured hip after Harvin developed soreness last week.

Harvin returned to practice last Tuesday for the first time since June. But by the end of the week, Harvin was being held out again after feeling some soreness in his surgically repaired hip.

The team held Harvin out again this week.

"We've been quiet with him," Carroll said. "He's a little sore from last week and so we're just making sure he'll be ready to go."

"He was fine a week ago ready to go and the wear and tear of the comeback just got him a little bit so we're just slowing it down."

Carroll said the doctors have taken another look at Harvin and they had him get another MRI to make sure everything was still OK.

"We did another MRI to make sure we're seeing everything right. There was no complications so we're just bringing him back," Carroll said.

The team has until November 12 to activate Harvin from the physically unable to perform list. Carroll said they wouldn't have any problem activating Harvin even if he won't be able to play right away but they are still hopeful they can get him back by then.

RB Marshawn Lynch returned to practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday after missing the first two days of practice with a sore knee.

"He’s fine, he feels good," Carroll said. "His knee was a little sore and we took a look at some stuff, but he came out and was ready to go today. He got his walk through work earlier in the week so he’s ready for the game plan."

S Earl Thomas missed practice Friday with an illness but is also expected to play.

Carroll said T Russell Okung and T Breno Giacomini each have a chance to return to practice on Wednesday. Okung may even work out with the team on the field in pre-game Sunday.

Okung is eligible to practice for the next two weeks before being eligible to return from the short-term injured reserve list.
