Cornerback Tharold Simon and running back Christine Michael are among the list of actives for the Seattle Seahawks for Thursday night's season opener against the Green Bay Packers.

Neither player is a surprise as they were ruled officially out on Wednesday due to injuries. Simon has a knee injury that head coach Pete Carroll said would likely require minor surgery in the next couple days. Michael has a sore hamstring that has kept him sidelined for over a week.

In addition, linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring), receiver Kevin Norwood, receiver Phil Bates, tight end Cooper Helfet and defensive end Greg Scruggs are inactive.

If there was any surprise for Seattle, it would be that rookie undrafted tackle Garry Gilliam is active for the game.

The Packers will be without tight end Brandon Bostick (fibula) and cornerback Demetri Goodson (concussion) due to injuries. In addition, quarterback Scott Tolzien, linebacker Carl Bradford, defensive tackle Mike Pennel, receiver Jeff Janis and linebacker Jayrone Elliott are inactive for Green Bay.
