-Muhammad Ali is in the hospital being treated for a respiratory issue. A spokesperson says Ali is being treated by doctors as a precaution, and that a brief hospital stay is expected.

-The Toronto Raptors have given head coach Dwane Casey a three-year extension, taking him through the 2018-2019 season, worth $18 million.

-The New York Knicks officially hired Jeff Hornacek to be their head coach. He's getting a three year deal worth $15 million.

-Former Baylor football coach Art Briles has released a statement: "My heart goes out to the victims for the pain that they have endured. Sexual assault has no place on our campus or in our society… Keep in mind the complete scope of what happened here has not been disclosed and unfortunately at this time I am contractually obligated to remain silent on the matter."

-Novak Djokovic won in straight sets to advance to the French Open Semifinals. He will play Dominic Thiem in the next round. Stan Wawrinka will play Andy Murray.

-Serena Williams won her French Open quarterfinal in three sets over Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan. She will play another unseeded player, Kiki Bertens, in the semis.

-Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says Jim Brown will be around the team more than he has been the last few years now that they have a "secure coach."

-Brazilian soccer star Dani Alves will reportedly leave club team Barcelona this summer.

-The Penguins beat the Sharks 2-1 in overtime on rookie Connor Sheary's goal in sudden death. Pittsburgh now leads the series 2-0. Game 3 is Saturday in San Jose.

-The Orioles downed the Red Sox 13-9 to moved 2 back of Boston in the A.L. East. In the loss Mookie Betts hit 2 home runs giving him 5 homers in the last 2 games.

-The Royals defeated the Rays 6-3. Kansas City picked up its sixth-straight win.

-The Nationals knocked off the Phillies 7-2. Philadelphia has lost 6 in a row.

-The Cubs edged the Dodgers 2-1. Chicago starter Jon Lester allowed 1 run on 4 hits in the complete game win.

-The Indians walked off with a 5-4 win over the Rangers in 11 innings. Yan Gomes won the game with an RBI single.

-The Astros got by the Diamondbacks 5-4 in 11 innings. Houston's George Springer won the game with a walk-off solo home run.
